WWW Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. To participate share what you are currently reading, what you recently read, and what you plan on reading next. What are you currently reading? I am currently reading What Light by Jay Asher. What have you recently finished? I just finished Breakwater by Errin Stevens. What are you going to read next? I am planning on reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass next. Books mentioned in this post Sierra's family runs a Christmas tree farm in Oregon—it's a bucolic setting for a girl to grow up in, except that every year, they pack up and move to California to set up their Christmas tree lot for the season. So Sierra lives two lives: her life in Oregon and her life at Christmas. And leaving one always means missing the other. Until this particular Christmas, when Sierra meets Caleb, and one life eclipses the other. By reputation, Caleb is not your perfect guy: years ago, he made an enormous mistake and has been paying for it ever since. But Sierra sees beyond Caleb's past and becomes determined to help him find forgiveness and, maybe, redemption. As disapproval, misconceptions, and suspicions swirl around them, Caleb and Sierra discover the one thing that transcends all else: true love. The sirens of Griffins Bay are in trouble, and the recent slew of royal suicides looks to be the least of their worries. For one, unless a blood relative of the queen shows up, no one's around to staff the monarchy. Well, except for a whack-job bureaucrat and he seriously won't do. Worse is the community unrest threatening siren society, a problem caused by too many humans in the pool, which means Simon and his off-limit girlfriend will have to run and hide if they want to make more of their flirtation... The solution doesn’t inspire confidence at first, but the Blakes have everything at hand to set their world to rights - namely, a hidden queen, a dead prince, and a facility for human manipulation. Once they find their sea legs, they'll restore order, distribute smart phones, and drive that conniving bureaucrat to a grisly, satisfying end. When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

I wasn't impressed with Asher's representation of depression in 13 Reasons Why, but I enjoyed the way he went about the story. Does this compare? Either way, it is one I always get excited about when i see others reading it.

I've heard great things about What Light! I hope you are enjoying it. And ACOTAR is a great read, although I haven't read the sequel yet myself (and won't be until more books of the series are published; the wait for the next books is simply too painful, especially since I'm waiting for the last Throne Of Glass book as well). ;) Happy reading!
