Synopsis: Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don't kill him first, that is.

I am going to admit, it took me over two months to actually start this book. I was stuck in the world of the Sweet series by Wendy Higgins. But I am SO GLAD that I started this book.

I don't even know where to start, this book grabbed me from the first few pages. I could not put this book down. Since I've read so many paranormal novels, it's hard to find one that really sticks out to me. I started this book in the car on the way to Virginia. Once I started I could not stop. From the insane adventures, swoon-worthy characters (ahem.. Daemon...), and the funny encounters this book was thoroughly amazing!!

Okay, there are so many things to LOVE about this book. Personally, I love how Katy doesn't put up with Daemon's crap. I also loved the humor and the constant arguments between Daemon and Katy. Sure, they act like they hate each other, and at some points it's easy to truly believe that they do. It's noticeable that there's a sort of tension between them throughout the whole book.

Even though Obsidian is in Katy's POV, you still get these amazing glimpses behind the bad-boy, arrogant barrier of Daemon to see there is a softie.

Right now I finished the 3rd book in the series, Opal, and I am waiting for the final books from Amazon. (AHHH DYING FROM THE CLIFFHANGER AT THE END)

Bottom Line:
GET THIS SERIES!!
