Synopsis: It's time. Evil is running rampant, and Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways. The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous- especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna's great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she's prepared to risk. In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom. Review: In this book, we really get to see more of the other relationships between characters. Not only do we see tons of Anna and Kai, we see relationships develop between Blake and Ginger, Marna and Jay, and Kope and Zania. I didn't like the idea of Jay and Marna being together with whisperers being able to catch them. But that definitely wasn't the biggest of their problems. I was crushed when we learned that Marna was pregnant, Marna is one of my favorite characters in the series, so I really didn't want her to die. I really hoped that after they defeated the Dukes, that Marna wouldn't die after all. Sadly, she did. But I can tell Jay will be an amazing father to their daughter, Anise. One of my favorite parts in the book is on page 49, Anna says, "...I sat in my hotel room, reading about a swoony alien guy." I immediately knew she was referring to Daemon from the Lux series, by Jennifer L Armentrout, which is my favorite series! I totally fangirled at Anna talking about Daemon. :) I loved the scenes leading up to and during Anna and Kai's wedding. It was such a spur of the moment type of thing, they didn't have the time to have a huge wedding. The wedding took place on Blake's plane, which was good since whisperers didn't go that far away from the earth. AWHH the wedding was so perfect and adorable, it was everything I wanted it to be!! The one thing I really didn't like was how fast the battle scene went. I find that tends to happen during the endings of trilogies. I feel like Patti's death impacted Ginger as much, if not more than it impacted Anna. I loved the very end of the book. When Anna and Kaidan decided to adopt and a little girl, Alile, comes up to Kaidan and called him Dad, I knew they would adopt her. Reading order: Sweet Evil (Sweet Trilogy #1) Sweet Peril (Sweet Trilogy #2) Sweet Reckoning (Sweet Trilogy #3) Sweet Temptation (Sweet Trilogy #4) *Sweet Temptation is in Kaidan's POV* My other Sweet series reviews: Buy Sweet Reckoning:
